That's what I do these days: go on woodland walks, or trek down cycle lanes. Sometimes for a few miles. Then I turn around and go back again (boring huh?) It's not much but it keeps me mooorrre or less sane in a world which isn't.
All of the activities mentioned above sound ruddy lovely to me. I don't go walking in the woods as much as I'd like, and as I have a big country park and some woods quite near to me now I really should make the effort. It's a struggle to just get out of bed these days, but I know fresh air and a good walk would do me good.
We get a lot of birds in our garden though and it is lovely to hear their singing.
And last night I walked barefoot on the grass. It sounds ridiculous but I don't think I've walked on grass without shoes on for years! It's nice to feel the ground beneath your feet.
